Entry No. 002 · The Inmate Index
The system. Your employer is the specific penitentiary currently holding you.
Full Definition
Corporate Prison is the system itself: the entire apparatus of meetings, permission structures, performance reviews, manufactured urgency, and institutional conditioning that every Corporate Inmate is doing time inside.
Your employer isn't Corporate Prison. Your employer is the penitentiary. The specific building, culture, and cast of characters currently housing your sentence. Different companies, same prison system. Change employers and you've transferred facilities, not gotten out.
Understanding that distinction matters. Blaming one bad manager or one dysfunctional company for the whole experience misses the point. The system is the system. The particular penitentiary just decides how loud the bars rattle.

Survival Move
Stop diagnosing your specific employer like it's the whole disease. A transfer might improve your view. It won't end the sentence.
