Everyone working inside a company is technically a corporate inmate. Badge on, all-hands attended, performance review endured. But Corporate Inmate as an identity belongs to the people who can actually see the prison.

They recognize the rituals, the manufactured urgency, the permission structures, the performance theater, the politics, and the absurdity for exactly what they are. They're still serving the sentence. They're just no longer confusing the institution with real life.

Signs You're Living It

You catch the ritual in real time: the fake urgency, the theater of a status update meeting, the politics dressed up as strategy.
