Why I Built Corporate Inmate
Once you've been outside the system, you notice things you couldn't see when you were buried inside it.
The conditioning. The performance. The politics. The strange rules everyone follows but nobody remembers agreeing to.
The way a job slowly becomes your schedule, your energy, your identity. And, if you're not careful, your entire life.
I started Corporate Inmate because I wanted language for what I was seeing.
Not career advice.
Not another playbook for climbing the corporate ladder.
And definitely not advice for becoming better at tolerating something that is costing you pieces of yourself.
Corporate Inmate is about seeing the system clearly, surviving it strategically, keeping your identity while you're inside it, and building toward a life that belongs to you.
Sometimes the first thing you need isn't an escape plan.
It's realizing you're allowed to want one.
Why Listen to Me?
I didn't study corporate life from the outside.
I lived it.
More than 20 years in Corporate America taught me how the system operates from inside the machine: sales targets, performance reviews, restructures, politics, leadership changes, layoffs, all-hands meetings, corporate language, and the thousand tiny compromises that rarely make it into the employee handbook.
Then I spent more than a decade teaching yoga and helping other teachers develop their craft. Eventually, I led roughly 100 teachers across 10 studios.
That chapter taught me something corporate never did:
There is a version of you underneath what you produce.
Going back to Corporate America made the contrast impossible to ignore.
That collision became Corporate Inmate. The person I knew I was was colliding with the person the system expected me to perform.
I don't teach people how to win at corporate.
I help them see what corporate has taught them to believe about themselves.
